I am a Tree Killer

So, I met the parents, they are wonderful. The entire family is a hoot. I also met the auntie and several family friends.

Then, the next day, The Teacher, his papa and I drove into the mountains and chopped our own Christmas trees!

City people to not get to do this, most people to not get to do this. To trek through foot high snow, find the perfect tree, saw through it and drag it home (well, to the car).

It was magical.

We also got our tree this weekend. It's my first real one and I'm excited. It's about two feet tall and came with a strand of lights. It's awesome! And as a bonus, none of the cats have any interest in eating or hurting it. Woo hoo!!

Aren't we allergic to real trees? That's what I told you your whole life to keep you from wanting a real tree. I guess I couldn't keep up the lie forever. Glad you had a good meeting with the parents. As I suspect, they probably think you are the best ever!!! I do. MOM

Most of the things you told us as kids have unraveled. I know what happened to the pets, I know dad's not allergic to most things and you have the same handwriting as Santa.

I wouldn't say "best ever," but they seem to think I'm OK.
