Sunday, 9 something

There has been an ongoing debate in the comments section of this blog. It has to do with a certain anonymous commenter who refuses to reveal himself (gender has been confirmed). I would just like to say that I like many things in this world: Rocky Road ice-cream, peach-champagne gellato from Gellato d'Italia, a good laugh, a good beer, a dry red wine, my mom's fried chicken and lasagne, going to the art museum alone and sitting in front of the Monet, a clear sky, a cool breeze, holding hands.

I do not, however, like playing games and while it was fun to speculate who you are, it's not fun anymore. It's time for the reveal, "Move that Bus," and tell me who you are. I have things to do.

Your mom and the LLS gave me your blog when she was home visiting. I had said that I was interested in blogs and wanted to check yours out.
I've been able to peek in every now and then, and I've really been impressed with what you do here. I've been hearing about your writing for years, and think you're very talented. Some of the topics made me laugh and then I decided to respond with the occasional post.

Normally, I'm not a fan of playing games, but the anonymous posts seemed like a fun idea when you decided to leave your job. I know what it's like to have work be disappointing rather than rewarding, so I decided to post anonymously to distract you from the frustration of the job search. I only decided to stay anonymous until you started getting other job possibilities. I've asked the questions because I really wanted to see you write at your best.
I find you very interesting, funny, deep, and you're a true writer. That's something you should always remember: there's few and far between. But you're right, the anonymity has to go: in my defense, I don't think I could've kept it up much longer, it was getting too hard, and I've already been figured out.
Yup, it's Adrian, friend of the LLS. We've only met a couple of times, but between the blog and hearing about you all these years, I thought I'd try to get to know you better. What do you say? Let's have dinner some time, and talk some more. Once more, apologies for any frustration, but I do enjoy the correspondence.

You know, Muffikens, you could have several anonymous posters. I'd like to reveal myself as the EVIL ANONYMOUS POSTER. All you need is a can of Easy Cheese and I can make all of your dreams come true. Yummy.
