When you kill two people while they sleep, you are going to get a harsh sentence.Did he think if he said "I'm sorry" and made the big eyes he would get a spanking and be sent on his way?
Jail is supposed to be cruel... so you don't do it again dumbass.

I read the article (thanks BettyLou), and it says may increase suicidal behavior, not HOMICIDAL BEHAVIOR. That's very different; clearly, this guy is totally nuts.
Clearly, and he was 12 when he did it, so maybe he killed his grandparents instead of starting out small on animals and just went for the full-on sociopath behavior. He may have become a serial killer.
Probably played a violent video game, that's what usually gets the blame these days...
Also, that is a great punishment for the guy. Psycho!!
